Technology.....

is great when it works like it's supposed to. Today was NOT one of those days. As most of you were probably on the receiving end of an e-mail sent "from me" this afternoon, so was the rest of my contact list, including my boss. Yeah, that's right. He thought I was trying to sell him Viagra. Well, I don't actually think he clicked on the link so he doesn't know I was secretly trying to sell him Viagra. But seriously, do these spam people actually think this is funny? Cause it's not. It all started when I got an e-mail from my brother this morning. He almost never sends me e-mails so I thought maybe he wanted to show me a link to something important. I checked the other people that he had sent it to and it made sense, he had sent it to some of his close friends and my sister. Wrong. The second I clicked on the link I got the virus in my hotmail and everyone on my contact list was e-mailed. I don't pretend to understand how spam works and how people actually corrupt other people's computer but then again I just figured Monday how to comment on people's blogs (and it wasn't even me that figured that out.) I have also been trying to install Internet Explorer for the last 2 weeks and although I know I have downloaded it, it's somewhere on the outer space of my computer and I can't connect the outer space to the earth of my computer. Anyway, that's probably enough ranting about technology but let me just say that the only thing that consoles me about my mass e-mail sent out today is that everyone has received a piece of spam mail at some point and knows it goes with the technology territory.

In other news, my Valentine's day was very uneventful. I might even go as far as saying that it was the most uneventful day in a very long time. I napped from 2 until 4 and went to bed at 7pm for the night. Lianne and Sara came up Friday for the weekend and stayed here with me. On Friday night we have some wine and watched the Olympic opening ceremonies. They were awesome!! I was thinking of you when I was watching them Terri! My favorite part was right at the beginning when the snowboarder jumped out and the fireworks went off. We missed the torch lighting ceremony at the end cause we were off to bed. On Saturday morning we went to the market. I heart the market. Being 4 girls and taking our time getting ready we only got there around 11am and I've discovered that that's the best time to go! There was wayyyy less crowds and still a lot of food and stuff left. I have a tendency to always buy too much at the market so this time I only bought some gluten-free samosas for Mom.

We went out Saturday night for some drinks and dancing and as always we had a blast!

We even saw Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys at the Split Crow! The bar wasn't too too packed so there were a lot of people asking for pictures with him but we didn't dare...I know, we are lame.

So back to getting 13 hours sleep in a day...I wonder if that's normal and needed once in awhile? I actually think that I could handle 13 hours of sleep every night. It doesn't matter what time I go to bed at night, I still can't get up in the morning. And it doesn't help that I get a boost of energy every night at like 9:30pm. I especially like this bit by Jerry Seinfeld:

JERRY: I never get enough sleep. I stay up late at night, cause I'm Night Guy. Night Guy wants to stay up late. 'What about getting up after five hours sleep?" you say oh that's Morning Guy's problem. That's not my problem, I'm Night Guy. I stay up as late as I want. So you get up in the morning, you're exhausted, groggy, and you say oooh I hate that Night Guy! See, Night Guy always screws Morning Guy. There's nothing Morning Guy can do. The only thing Morning Guy can do is try and oversleep often enough so that Day Guy looses his job and Night Guy has no money to go out anymore.

Hope everyone else had a great Valentine's Day and remember that I love you all!
